Huatulco
Huatulco is focused on several central areas along a fantastic 20-mile stretch of coastline that traditionally has “nine bays,” but in actuality boasts of dozens of hidden beaches and coves that might also be called bays. The main development, offering hotels, golf, restaurants, and other vacation infrastructure is in the three closely spaced central bays of Santa Cruz, Chahue, and Tangolunda. The area is served by an international airport and is surrounded by beautiful natural beach and jungle settings.
Huatulco’s very warm coastal waters abound with game fish of many kinds. Offshore, the four-mile-deep Middle America Trench causes underwater turbulence that stimulates food production and attracts game fish to the Huatulco fishing area.

Deep Sea Fishing
From Huatulco, we access undoubtedly one of the most marlin-friendly area in the world.
Sailfish fishing action at Huatulco can be quite intense, with double-digit shots per day, and “offshore” fishing can begin within a mile or so of the beach, as steep drop-offs are present in several areas.

The warm water summer months are good for sailfish and blue and black marlin offshore.
Huatulco’s billfish productivity is unbeatable!

Bottom Fish
Tidal rips close to the mainland, southeast of Huatulco in the direction of Guatemala, Rio Copalita and Bahia de Conejos form the confluence of a river and a bay which attracts large blue and black marlin and a good bunch of inshore species such as roosterfish and snook. Well-defined tide lines and color changes can be found each day, which draw schools of bonito, tuna and dorado which, in turns, attract large predators.
Inshore fishing for jacks, roosterfish, sierra, and black skipjack picking up in April and May.
Bottom Fishing
Catch the fish that lurk on the bottom of the sea such as snappers, snook, pompano, trevally, barracuda, ladyfish, grouper, and a wide variety of species inshore.
