Riviera Maya Golf Club is located right at the Bahia Principe resort in Akumal, very convenient for guests staying there. For people staying in Playa del Carmen, the easiest way to get there is by taxi or if you have rented a car. You’ll love how well this course is blended into the nature.

Part of an exclusive resort community, this course will feature 27 championship holes plus a 9 hole executive course, but so far only 18 holes are completed. The terrain of Riviera Maya Golf Club is particularly interesting, with lots of ledges and variance in an otherwise flat region.

Built in 2004 by Greg Norman, this gorgeous par 72 Playa del Carmen golf course is the only Latin American course on the PGA circuit. With an ever-changing landscape which snakes through the tropical vistas, the gorgeous fairways are nestled among dense mangroves and oceanfront stretches of sand with holes bordered by massive limestone canals. An underwater sinkhole, known as a cenote in Mexico can be found on Mayakoba’s opening fairway.

El Camaleon Mayakoba is a work of art designed by Greg Norman, located in the luxury resort “Mayakoba”. This 18-hole, par 72 golf course gets its name from its diverse layout and ever-changing landscape, which bends through the tropical jungle, dense mangroves, stunning oceanfront stretches of sand and long channels with limestone borders.

The fairways are lined with sand dunes and mangroves and the course features unique hazards such as cenotes (a system of subterranean caves and sinkholes) and crystal clear lagoons. El Camaleon Mayakoba is the first golf course to host an official PGA Tour event in Mexico, hosting the annual Mayakoba Classic.
