Pelican Beach

Playa San Jorge

Hidden away about 15 minutes east of town. This beach is suggested due to its uniqueness; popular beaches are easy to find whereas this haven isn’t as mainstream. San Jorge is pure relaxation, a sublime get-away on your get-away. If you have any activities you want to pursue that need minimal activity, such as bird watching, this is the place.

Mirador Beach

Close to town. It is nearby most of the famous attractions and destinations of downtown Puerto Peñasco. The Old Port’s Malecon is a must-see for those looking to enjoy local entertainment, shopping, and dining. At the Malecon in Puerto Peñasco, you can listen to a concert of local musicians, shop for souvenirs, or sit on the patio of a restaurant and enjoy the gorgeous Mexican sunset. Mirador Beach is also the place to be for those looking to enjoy the nightlife of Puerto Peñasco. It is no secret that the town is popular spring break destination. Mirador Beach boasts some of the town’s favorite bars such as Pink Cadillac and the Baja Cantina. Mayan Palace Beach

Is truly the pinnacle of a beautiful and luxurious ocean side vacation, just outside of Puerto Peñasco. Cholla Bay

This little appendage beach poking out to the west can be your personal Miami if you desire. The local favorite, JJ’s Bar, is all the rage offering drinks, dancing, and a beautiful patio overlooking the ocean. Regarding the waters, the tide has a big reach meaning it can be great for kayaking and swimming, just don’t get stuck in the current! Patrons like this beach specifically because it’s set away from town, meaning it’s quieter and a better deal for rentals than other areas.

Morua Estuary

Las Conchas is a secluded 6-mile stretch of beach that is separated from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Puerto Peñasco. These rolling sandy beaches provide pristine shorelines for sunbathing, swimming, or exploring. The nearby Morua Estuary is the premier place in Puerto Peñasco to observe and interact with the natural wildlife. The Morua Estuary is protected by the environmental organization CEDO, which translated to English stands for the Intercultural Center of Desert and Ocean Studies. This organization is dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of the area.
