El Tigre Club de Golf

Vallarta is quickly becoming synonymous with world-class golf, and Paradise Village’s El Tigre Golf Course has just raised the standard with its new upscale championship facilities and exclusive country club.

Enjoy views that stretch to the western Sierra Madre. The design team of Robert Von Hagge, Mike Smelek, and Rick Baril transformed what used to be a flat piece of land into a lush, tropical paradise. Nine water features were added, which come into play on 12 holes, and the terrain was molded and contoured to provide interesting elevation changes.

Flamingos Club de Golf

The first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. 

Flamingos Golf is a 6,853 yard long par 72 championship course with slightly narrow fairways that are naturally laid out on gently sloping terrain. The course has Bermuda grass in both fairways and greens and has 9 water hazards and 43 bunkers, most of which protect the approaches into its slightly fast greens. Flamingos has an excellent design that will allow you to obtain dramatic results if you plan your strategy well and play target golf.

Litibú

Litibú Golf Club
Located 4 miles northeast of Punta Mita Four Season’s golf club you’ll find Litibú Golf Club, that opened March 7th, 2010. It’s a Greg Norman design, a challenging 18 hole course where 7 are link-style, eight others are surrounded by virgin jungle and the final 3 follow the edge of the Pacific Ocean, with impressive panorama views. You’ll find a Pro Shop, practice and driving range and you can rent carts, clubs and other equipment.

Marina Vallarta Golf Club

Known for its stunning tropical landscape that is home to an abundance of wildlife. Golfers have the opportunity to play amongst iguanas and alligators while enjoying scenic views of the Bay of Banderas. The course is blessed with a bevy of natural hazards including towering palm trees, lagoons, and waterfalls. Colorful tropical flowers and native vegetation further accent the landscape. Marina Vallarta Golf Club is the only one located in the urban area of Puerto Vallarta, at the heart of the Marina Vallarta area. Surrounded by lush jungle vegetation, natural lagoons, iguanas, tropical birds.

A crocodile sanctuary is just upriver from the Marina Vallarta Golf Club, and no one told the crocs they couldn’t visit the golf course.

Nayar Vidanta Golf Course

Nicklaus Design’s senior designer, Jim Lipe, recently finished a complete renovation of the Nayar Golf Course located in Nuevo Vallarta, just next door to El Tigre. This adds one more exciting option for the golfers in the area and tourist coming to Vallarta. 

Surrounded by lush jungle and the Sierra Madre Mountains on one side and the Pacific on the other, The Nayar Course is a joy for every player with with seven lakes, 49 strategically placed bunkers, and constant, strong crosswinds coming off of the ocean, this course always presents a challenge.

The Golf Course is found close to the spectacular beaches of Nuevo Vallarta, approximately 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta’s International Airport.

Vista Vallarta

Nicklaus Course. On the foothills of the lush Vallartan rainforests. Golfers are treated not only to world class golf but will enjoy breathtaking views of Puerto Vallarta, the Marina, and Banderas Bay as well. Grassy hillsides, dense forest of Palm and giant Ficus trees, natural creeks and arroyos provide the perfect setting for this world-class course by the world’s greatest player. perched atop the property’s highest elevation, offering spectacular views of Puerto Vallarta and the Bay of Banderas. The course tumbles across grassy hillsides covered with dense forests of palms and giant ficus trees.

Weiskopf Course. The second golf course at Vista Vallarta, at the foothills of the lush rainforests, just 10 minutes away from the Marina Vallarta. Here the terrain is extreme with dense jungles, deep ravines, and swift creeks. Mr. Weiskopf has done a masterful job of blending the elevations and natural features into an incredibly playable experience… from the first tee to the green of the “driveable” 18th. The Weiskopf Course at Vista Vallarta looks like it was hacked from the jungle by machete—a whole lot of them. It’s similar to the Nicklaus Course on the same property, but Weiskopf’s design gets the nod because its manageable green complexes make it more fun to play. As you step onto the course and see the dense jungles that sprawl across deep ravine

Punta Mita Bahía

Punta Mita – Bahia Course: This Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course was inaugurated November 16, 2009, golf legend and course designer Jack Nicklaus hit the ceremonial tee shot. It’s the second course Nicklaus has designed for Punta Mita an 18-hole championship course that features breathtaking views of the emerald colored sea. Bahia boasts five holes that play along the ocean edge and an additional two with ocean views.

Punta Mita Pacífico

Nicklaus-designed course is set within vistas of white-sand beaches and the surrounding Sierra Madre Mountains in the north zone. Spread over 81 hectares (200 acres), it takes full advantage of its location. Eight holes border either the Pacific Ocean or Banderas Bay. The green of one truly unique hole is located on a natural island in the ocean. The Punta Mita peninsula’s tropical landscape of palm trees and flowering trees add to the pleasure of playing this course, which is challenging for experienced golfers yet friendly for the beginner.that boasts the only natural ocean island par-3 hole in the world. The second and more recent addition is Punta Mita Bahía. is outstanding mainly because it has eight holes that are adjacent to or facing the ocean. But its inland holes, which feature views of the Sierra Madre Mountains, will resonate with fans of Jack Nicklaus’ challenging designs.

Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta

Located on the spectacular beaches of Nuevo Vallarta, between the western Sierra Madre mountain range and Banderas Bay, just 15 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
Built over the most dazzling vacation spots on Banderas Bay, it is part of a new project designed by the internationally recognized Nicklaus Design firm. Soon, it will become one of the most spectacular golf courses in the world, fully equipped, and featuring optimal conditions that every golfer prefers.
The course currently boasts 18 fully operational holes due to the redesign of the back nine.
There is a large driving range and practice short game area available until 10.30 p.m and a learning center by the Jack Nicklaus Academy facilities and instruction services.
